Matthew P. Richmond, Psy.D.

dr-rDr. Richmond earned his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2011 with specialization in developmental neuropsychology, health psychology, and rehabilitation psychology. He completed his residency at the Pediatric Developmental Center of Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. He finished his formal postdoctoral fellowship training in Pediatric Behavioral Medicine in affiliation with the Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group.

Dr. Richmond specializes in the psychosocial and neuropsychological aspects of chronic disease and developmental disability across the lifespan. He has advanced training in behavioral pediatrics with an emphasis on diagnosing and treating infants, young children, adolescents, and young adults with conditions ranging from autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) to a broad range of neurologically-based concerns such as medical fragility, attention issues, and learning and behavior problems. In addition, Dr. Richmond has specialized training in treating children and adults with co-morbid developmental and chronic psychiatric disorders.

He is a member of the Academy of Medical Psychology, the American Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychological Association, and the Society for Pediatric Psychology. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Spina Bifida Association. Dr. Richmond can provide neuropsychological assessments and therapeutic services in either English or Spanish.
